Student Hub Renovation & High-Traffic Infrastructure
The Challenge
Ada Dodge Hall serves as a central hub for student life, housing dining services and activity spaces. The university needed a complete interior strip-out and structural remodel to expand seating capacity and modernize the culinary facilities, all while minimizing disruption to daily campus life on a highly congested campus.
Our Approach
- Phased Fast-Track Construction: Executed the heavy demolition and structural reinforcement during the brief summer break, utilizing double-shift scheduling to compress the timeline.
- Commercial Kitchen Integration: Installed advanced ventilation, grease traps, and industrial-grade plumbing to support a multi-vendor, high-volume student cafeteria.
- Sustainable Design: Implemented smart LED lighting arrays and high-durability, recycled terrazzo flooring designed to withstand foot traffic from thousands of students daily.
The Outcome
Delivered the project two weeks ahead of the fall semester deadline, resulting in a 40% increase in student seating capacity and a modern, energy-efficient dining facility.
