The Challenge
Designed as a striking, cantilevered geometric marvel, this project required executing bold architectural concepts—most notably a massive floating wing extending out over a central public courtyard—requiring flawless structural physics and aesthetic perfection.
Our Approach
- Cantilever Engineering: Utilized high-strength post-tensioned concrete beams and a complex temporary shoring matrix to support the immense weight of the building’s signature floating upper tiers during pouring and curing.
- Bespoke Formwork: Deployed custom-engineered steel formwork to achieve sharp, geometric angles and an incredibly smooth, continuous architectural concrete finish with uniform coloration.
- Urban Integration: Managed a microscopic construction footprint, carefully maneuvering heavy cranes and concrete pumps around century-old campus trees and historic neighboring walkways.
