As a dense, multi-story academic building housing diverse departments, the primary challenge was the dense coordination of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) infrastructure to simultaneously support high-occupancy lecture halls, computer labs, and faculty offices.
Our Approach
- BIM Coordination: Used 3D Building Information Modeling (BIM) to map out and clash-detect dense utility runs above the ceilings before a single pipe was installed on-site.
- Acoustic Isolation: Engineered high-STC (Sound Transmission Class) drywall partitions and acoustic baffling between lecture halls and communal corridors to maintain quiet learning environments.
- Smart Energy Grid: Installed a centralized Building Management System (BMS) that automatically scales lighting and HVAC based on real-time room occupancy sensors.
The Outcome
A highly efficient, versatile academic hub delivered right on schedule, offering the university a easily maintainable, low-overhead facility.
