AUB – Raymond Ghoson Building

Modern Faculty Offices & Structural Retrofitting

The Challenge

The Raymond Ghosn Building required structural upgrading to support modern technological loads, alongside an interior spatial reconfiguration to maximize faculty office footprints, collaborative meeting lounges, and administrative zones.

Our Approach

  • Carbon-Fiber Reinforcement: Applied advanced Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) wraps to existing columns and beams, boosting load-bearing capacity without eating up valuable interior square footage.
  • Modular Spatial Design: Implemented high-end glass partitions and demountable wall systems to maximize natural light penetration while maintaining privacy for faculty offices.
  • Clean Technology Routing: Routed low-voltage data lines, fiber optics, and power arrays through clean, hidden architectural raceways to preserve the modern minimalist interior.

The Outcome

A bright, collaborative corporate-grade academic workspace that maximizes utility and brings older infrastructure up to 21st-century standard.
